2019 SEMA Recap

CVF Racing Booth at SEMA 2019

And just like that another great SEMA show is in the books! It’s always exciting to leave the 40° weather of Minnesota and enjoy the 70° sunshine of Las Vegas. As we look back on SEMA 2019, we wanted to take this time to share our experience with you, our customers, the most important part of our business.

CVF Release new Serpentine Supercharger Kits at SEMA 2019

This year we debuted our Supercharged Wraptor™ Serpentine Systems. Side-mounted superchargers continue to grow in popularity and there simply aren’t many options available to keep the slick billet front drive kit look while bolting on extra horsepower. So, we changed the rules of that game. Not only does the new Wraptor system incorporate a supercharger from popular manufacturers like Procharger®, Vortech®, and Torqstorm®, but they’re also adaptable to existing Wraptor systems customers have been purchasing for years. We’ve worked incredibly hard to develop these products over the past few months and we’re really excited to share them with you - and to have some of the guys from ProCharger® and Torqstorm® stop in the booth and see what we had been talking about all year.

CVF Cummins Serpentine Kit in Brookville Roadster

The new Wraptor kit was not the only CVF product popular at the show. Eric from our Sales & Tech Support team mentioned that with the growing trend of old pickup builds the FE motors have seen a sudden spike in popularity and as a result our Ford FE Serpentine Systems were a big hit! Getting to see two of our Cummins Wraptor Kits being used in immaculate builds was a welcomed sight as well. More and more people are putting 12V and 24V motors in builds, but they had usually been in pickups or haulers. We didn’t anticipate that we’d see one in a roadster but here is Brookeville Roadster making it happen.

We don’t get much time to walk around during the week, but when the opportunity arises we like to experience what the show has to offer. Trevor, our Sales & Tech Support Manager, was able to sneak out of the booth and loved the “Hell Scout” build by Gas Monkey Garage! You may recall seeing this 1979 International Scout build on the television show “Fast ‘N’ Loud”. For more on this incredible build, here's the full story. We’re pretty sure he also stopped each morning on the walk in to check out what Rtech Fabrications has been up to and said their “Ponderosa” truck was remarkable! Learn more about Rtech and “The Ponderosa” here.

Being able to travel the country visiting car shows and meeting new people who love their cars as much as we do is probably one of the better jobs anyone could ask for. Derek, another important member of our Sales & Tech Support team got to experience his first SEMA show this year and absolutely loved the experience! Some highlights of the show for Derek were getting to look at various tuner cars and most of all getting to talk superchargers all week!

CVF Sales & Tech Support Team and Heather Storm 'On The Road'

Eric and Derek both loved being able to meet various personalities throughout the week that they’ve seen on TV and read about in magazines. Derek was able to meet and grab a photo with Heather Storm from “Garage Squad”. They were also able to meet and talk cars with Ryan Martin, Jeff Lutz, “Farm Truck”, and “AZN” from “Street Outlaws”!

Lastly, our true favorite part of SEMA and any show we attend, is getting to hear from so many of our customers about how their builds turned out, how their CVF products are performing and how their CVF experience was. Hearing such wonderful things about what we do and how we can help them keeps us motivated to provide you with the best possible product we can at the best possible price on the market.

Next up we’re headed to Indianapolis for the Performance Racing Industry (PRI Show) at the Indianapolis Convention Center December 12th thru 14th. If you’re headed to PRI we’d love to catch up with you at the CVF Booth (Booth #).
